Construction Updates - March 2011

With already over 30% lots sold in Phase 2, lot clearing works are complete and all planned road networks are totally grubbed and cleared.

In Phase I facing the sea, where 60% of lots are sold, on the Hotel’s right side, Section A (Lots 33, 35, 37 and 39) road completion is complete and is at 98% completion with water line fittings and street lights nearing installation.

Road completion on the opposite side, to the left side of the Hotel, SECTION B (area of Lots 20 to 30) works are coming along with finishing works for sidewalk works at 96%, while Section C for Lots 1 through 18 is also now at 96%.

Phase 1 is due to reach 100% completion by April 2011.

Thunderbird Resorts Poro Point Secures a 25-Year Lease Extension

Last March 25th, the Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA) granted Thunderbird Resorts’ petition soliciting a 25-year lease extension and its proposed commercial terms on the 65 hectare tourism complex the recreational developer presently occupies in the Poro Point Freeport Zone in San Fernando, La Union.

With a mandate to convert former US military base lands and camps into productive civilian economic growth centers, the BCDA has proven to be one of the most successful government agencies in attracting investments, creating jobs for the Filipino people and boosting the country's economy.
